Contributions

Gifts to the Foundation help support older Kansans. Donors may direct the allocation of their gifts. Undesignated donations will be applied to areas of greatest need. Foundation endowments can be established with memorials, gifts of cash, securities, insurance policies, estate distributions or other assets. Contact us today.

Types of Contributions

Unrestricted Gifts allow the Foundation's Trustees the most flexibility in responding to problems and needs of the elderly in the area.

Designated or Donor Advised Gifts allow the donor to specify how and for what their gift can be used. Trustees accept this type of gift and honor the donor's wishes providing the request is consistent with the Foundation's mission.

Named Fund can be established in honor or in memory of a specific person, family, or an organization. A minimun contribution of $10,000 is required.

The number of older Kansans (age 60 & older) is growing faster than other age groups in Kansas. It is estimated this age group will grow 22% in number by 2010.

State and federal governments are hard pressed to meet the demand to provide services to older Kansans. Waiting lists currently exist for government funded programs.

A waiting list has been started by Kansas Department on Aging for the most vulnerable low income consumers who are eligible for In Home Services under HCBS medicaid waiver.

Funds to provide custom care or environmental modifications are in short supply.
